Pearl Candy Necklace

Little fingernails, the pink paint mostly chipped off after just two days, twisted at the zigzagged edge of the crinkly plastic wrapper and delicately peeled it open. 
The lightly fruited scent wafted into the air around you, and the pastel colored candies became gemstones in your eyes.  You pulled the necklace from its package, held it out and stretched it to go over your head- careful, because one little section almost always got tangled in your hair.  

It fit perfectly.
